Manage Content Sync
Check automatic content installs and repair machines that report changed or failed files.
Use this guide when paired simulators need to receive venue content or recover from a content sync problem.
Content is venue-global. Adding or removing cars, tracks, layouts, liveries, or skins immediately changes the selected content for every paired simulator. There is no separate version to apply.
Add Content to the Venue Library
- In the venue dashboard, open
Content. - Select
Add content, or openCarsorTracksand selectAdd carsorAdd tracks. - In the catalog, choose the content type and search for the uploaded item.
- Select
Addbeside an item markedAvailable. - Confirm its status changes to
Addedand it appears in the venue library.
A super-admin upload publishes content to the shared catalog. Each venue must
add it to its own library. Included by curated list means the venue already
includes it; Add parent first means you must first add the car or track that
owns the livery or layout.
Before Checking Sync
- The simulator is paired.
- Pista Agent has reported recently.
- The venue has selected content for the game.
Automatic Installs
When selected content is genuinely missing, Pista Agent downloads and installs it automatically. Newly selected content does not require an operator to visit each Windows machine.
Existing files that do not match are different: Pista reports the change and waits for an operator instead of overwriting them automatically.
The simulator-content page shows:
- Which machines are in sync.
- Which machines are downloading or updating.
- Which machines need attention.
- When each machine last reported.
- The latest failure message for an affected machine.
Repair Changed or Failed Content
- Open the venue's simulator-content page.
- Check the affected machine's status and latest message.
- Fix any machine issue named by the message, such as low disk space or a blocked download.
- Select
Repair Allto reapply the venue's currently selected content. - Confirm the affected machines report
In sync.
Repair does not choose another version or change venue content. It only asks paired machines to reapply the same selected files.
Change Incorrect Venue Content
If the selected content itself is wrong, remove or replace it in the venue library. The new selection becomes current immediately, and genuinely missing files install automatically.
Confirm It Worked
The venue is healthy when paired machines show In sync, report recently, and
show no active content failure.
Avoid manually editing Pista-managed content folders unless support asks for it. Manual changes are reported as drift and require repair.
